Ahlan wa sahlan! (Welcome)

Hello everyone, and welcome to my site. This is where I will be posting pictures and writing about my experiences in Egypt.

Please stop by as often as you can, and let me know what is going on in your live's as well.
It's always good to hear news from home.

Take care, and I will see you in January when I am home for the semester break!

Love,
Sarah

Nile Dancin'

These are just some photos from a weekend in November when our boss Mohamed took us out for a night of dancing. There are tons of clubs and restaurants in Cairo that are right on the Nile, and this night we went to a place called Rithmo. They had a DJ who was playing a lot of house music, and we had a great time there. This was the second time since I have known Joelle that I have seen her dancing, and I am always surprised by how good she is. All of her normal awkwardenss disappears, and she just loses herself in the music. She giggles, throws her hands up in the air, and becomes a woman transformed. It's very cute to watch.

Mohamed didn't dance, he just stood on the dance floor and smoked cigarettes

No, I'm not wasted; I'm trying once again to do Abby's model face

Home at 4 am. Katie wanted a picture next to the handle of our apartment building door, because it is strangely positioned at head-level
